Slide numbering - Slide XX of YY
Problem
You want to give your PowerPoint slides numbers like "Slide 13 of 42"
You can do it in Word and other programs, why not in PowerPoint?
Solution
We don't know why not.
But PowerPoint MVP Bill Dilworth had the same question and being something of a wiz with VBA, he answered it for us:
Bill's SaveSelection addin does Slide X of Y numbering and includes a few other nice touches like
- Saving a selection of slides as a presentation
- Creating a Linked Summary Slide
And does it all for free.
Everybody, all together now: THANK YOU, MR. BILL!
Visit Bill's Add-ins page to check out his other free and inexpensive and USEFUL add-ins.
And another hearty "THANKS!" to PowerPoint MVP Shawn Toh for A tutorial I have made for Do-It-Yourself Slide XX of YY. It's always easier to do this sort of thing with an add-in, but if you can't use them, Shawn's tutorial will get the job done for you nicely.
