Problems with EMF (Enhanced Metafile) graphics
When you insert an EMF (Enhanced Metafile) graphic created by Adobe Illustrator, it may exhibit one of the following symptoms:
- It appears as a red x with "Adobe" in the corner
- It displays at first but may disappear after you move it or manipulate it or other graphics on the same slide
- It displays but can't be ungrouped
- It displays as an empty shape (ie, selection handles but no graphics appear)
See You cannot view enhanced metafile format graphics files (or EMF image files) that were created in Adobe Illustrator for an explanation of the cause and for information about available hotfixes to correct the problem.
