PowerPoint crashes when I type text
You're running a Windows version of PowerPoint on your Mac using e.g. BootCamp.
You start to type some text and PowerPoint crashes.
These are the instructions for Windows 7 or Vista. XP will be similar if not identical:
- Open the Windows Control Panel
- Choose View by Category
- Open Clock, Language and Region
- Click Change keyboards or other input methods
- Click the Change keyboards ... button
- Click the Add button
- Scroll to English (United States) and expand
- Put a check next to US
- Click OK
- Click OK. There should be two keyboards listed: US and United States (Apple)
- Click OK
